Dresden University of Technology |
Germany is a country with significant resources covering all aspects of environmental
protection. More specifically, TU Dresden and the Institute of Waste Management and Contaminated
Site Treatment, dispose of staff with long experience on a broad range of issues in SWM, reflected
in the diverse projects running within the Institute. TU Dresden's library is one of the largest
and most modern, renovated in the last year and is connected to a large number of libraries in the
country, providing access to research results obtained in Germany and in the entire world. This
facilitates literature review to a significant degree, since literature is often difficult to obtain
, especially in distant countries such as Philippines and Vietnam. The Institute itself disposes of
a modern laboratory with trained staff, offering its expertise and assistance to the experiments
conducted in the frame of the project. TU Dresden has also a large number of pilot projects and SWM
applications to demonstrate in its premises and the wider Dresden area, which will serve to the
participants of the workshop in Dresden as examples and models for their country.
