Field excursions in the frame of the seminar-workshop at Miriam College

Turning from waste to resource management

Integrated within the seminar-workshop on "Ecological Solid Waste Management Strategies" were a number of field excursions which brought the participants to learn about the zero-waste approach as promoted by the late Philippine Ecological Waste Management Act of 2000, and to get an eye on some of the initiatives which are meanwhile being launched towards this end.

A first trip took the group to various places where private organisations have started to undertake the composting of source separated organic waste from kitchens and private homes.
